Description: This is a map of the world during the late Cretaceous period (65.5 Million years ago). The end of the Cretaceous also defines the boundary between the Mesozoic and Cenozoic eras.
By the late Cretaceous period the supercontinent of Pangea had completed its breakup into present day continents, although their positions were substantially different at the time.
